Research

When you go to a medical doctor for a checkup, they normally run some tests to spot any deficiencies. The same can be a helpful approach in ministry. Wes has years of experience conducting research with teens and adults. There are normally two kinds of research – quantitative (with tests and numbers) and qualitative (with discussions and interviews with key persons). Wes is qualified to use both approaches to pinpoint the best ways to deal with any issues.
Here are just a few areas that you might consider for a research project. Contact Wes to discuss any proposed research project.

Student Ministry Effectiveness

What elements of the student ministry do the parents, leaders, and students think are important? How well is our church doing in those areas? How could we improve?

Lasting Faith

Why do some students who have been faithful and active during the teen years drop out after high school, and why do some remain faithful? This short survey will give you some clues in how well your youth are on track to remain faithful following high school.

Spiritual Growth of Senior Adults

Yes, senior adults can and should continue to grow spiritually. This project gives clear pictures of the spiritual growth of older adults in eleven important categories. These include such areas as worship, bible knowledge, missions, evangelism, and much more.

Spiritual Growth of Adolescents

This project gives clear pictures of the spiritual growth of adolescents in eleven important categories. Similar to the adult version, this survey is geared toward adolescents.

Faith Formation in Students

How well are your students being discipled in their faith? In many cases this helps determine whether students are attending just to be with friends, or if they are really growing a mature faith.
